Peter Ghent, RCA (1856-1911)

He lived in Liverpool in 1880 and in 1905. In 1884 his address shows as Conway, North Wales which was his favourite area to paint.

Ghent exhibited at the Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham, the Dudley Gallery, the Walker Art Gallery, the Manchester City Art Gallery, he exhibited 22 works at the Royal Academy, 1879-96, including ‘A Misty Morning in the Ogwen Valley, North Wales’ & ‘Mussel Gathers, Coast of Anglesey’.

He also exhibited 3 at Suffolk Street, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

There are 2 of his landscapes in the Walker Art Gallery.
