James Burrell Smith (1822-97)

He was a leading pupil of Thomas Miles Richardson, and later became a drawing master. He was known as ‘waterfall Smith’ and exhibited mainly at the Royal Society of British Artists. He lived mainly at Alnwick, Northumberland.
