Frederick Henry Henshaw (1807-1891)
He was articled to J. V. Barber at the age of 14. In 1826 he became a member of the Birmingham Society of Artists & in the same year he went to London & studied the works major landscape artists, esp. Turner. He travelled the Continent extensively. He painted mainly landscapes & occasionally portraits & genre scenes in oil & watercolour. He exhibited in London & Birmingham from 1829-64. Examples in the Birmingham City A.G.
