Bertram Priestman, RA, ROI, NEAC (1868-1951)
Born in Bradford, Yorkshire; he painted cattle & lush pastoral life, landscape & coastal scenes.
He came to London in 1888, he exhibited from 1889 at the Royal Academy, Suffolk Street, Grosvenor Gallery, New Gallery & elsewhere.
He travelled a lot in Holland & France, and many of his paintings were made there.
He was made a member of the New English Art Club in 1897; Associate member of the Royal Academy in 1916; Full member of the Royal Academy in 1923; Associate member of the International Society of Sculptors, Painters & Gravers in 1900.
Examples of his work are in galleries in Bradford, Leeds, Birmingham & elsewhere.
