Welcome to The Swan Gallery

For about 120 years from 1800 Britain was recognized as the home of watercolour painting. Many leading British painters - Turner, Bonington, Ruskin and Lawrence for example, were highly accomplished in this medium and created a fashion for it among an admiring public. At the same time they inspired a host of highly talented painters, both men and women, to follow in their footsteps. It is in the works of these artists which we specialise.

Our present collection will be augmented twice a year with an exhibition of newly acquired works, for which complimentary illustrated catalogues will be mailed to those who register
(see contact us).

All our watercolours are in excellent condition and are in contemporary gilt frames with hand painted wash line mounts (mats), unless stated otherwise.
